Best Sunday lunch I’ve eaten out! Ordered the beef & lamb dinners and the meat fell apart, all seasoned well and they gave extra gravy without asking. Also had the usual menu here a few times and that was lovely too! Service always really good.

Had a meal here with three other people couple weeks ago, Very impressed by the quality of service and food on offer. Food and drinks came out very quick and was politely greeted by the young guy with tattoos and was checked up on during our meal to see how everything is. Clean plates all around!. I would recommend the foresters chicken

Haven't visited the Inn for many years - vast changed since our last visit. Complete re-furb on entrance room with bar to the left & 4 tables to accommodate 4/6 people in the centre & 4 ×2 tables surrounding. Leads out to another dining area (bigger) which was spacious. We dined from the Lunch Menu - 2 Mains for £18 or 1 for £10 + the Lighter Bites from which we chose a Chicken BLT with Fries. Food was very tasty & we enjoyed our meal. Only 1 dessert ordered as the rest of us were full. We were surprised by how popular the Inn was, many diners visited, dined & left to be replaced by yet more people. Only 2 staff on the day, & as soon as customers had vacated their table, 1 of them was clearing/cleaning ready for more visitors. Only 1 in our party chose dessert, deciding on Apple Pie & Custard. It was an enjoyable lunch with excellent food @ reasonable prices

Beautiful pub in a lovely area, had burgers and the minted lamb and it was excellent! Also, we happened to be there on music night and it was a rave. The host family are the most welcoming people. Edit: came back Sunday for dinner and props to the chef, some seriously good food throughout! We're tourists from Germany and that pub shattered all preoccupations with British food!

We (a party of six) stopped here for a meal last night and after a day biking in the Forest, we were ready. Genuinely, a really great experience. A great range of drinks at the bar (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), the menu has something for everyone, the food arrived hot, in really good time and no issues with the order. Honestly, I can’t sing the praises of this place enough, they smashed it! The staff were super helpful, the prices weren’t outrageous and they can cook a steak exactly how you asked. 100% would eat here again - highly recommended
